How much is Mr. Pappentonio making to represent the families? Is his salary to be capped the same as Obama wants for the corporate executives?

Most of the 27,000 old wells are probably dry. If they were not, the companies would be pumping oil out of them. Just more targets for Mr. Pappentonio to sue.

SENATOR John Boehner!?!?!?!? Are you nuts!?!?!? Don't give that psycho-talker more time in Congress than he has now! 2 years is too much; 6 years would be disastrous!!

Speaking of Senators, South Carolinians should Elect Alvin Greene, the South Carolina common man who has a common man's understanding of political issues. If he's elected, which committee assignment do you think he'd get, the Select Committee on Intelligence? He would qualify because it was brilliant the way he used his apparent lack of a job, political experience, campaign events, other resources and a glib tongue to win the Democratic nomination. Now, run tell that!!

If we didn't have people like Mike Papantonio representing the families in the Gulf, who would help them? BP? Hali-burton? Yeah, right!!! Mike should make the fees he deserves for the education he attained and the interests he's hired to protect.

If there is no oil in the so-called "dry wells", there should be no objection to a moratorium on drilling for the deepwater ones. If the companies were pumping oil SAFELY, there would be no need for a moratorium. Vapid argument.

Great show. I especially liked the comment by the lady publisher, I forget her name, who called the Tea Party, the Tea Bag Party. The could also be called the Tea Pot Party.

Hey Castro,

Careful: "Mike should make the fees he deserves for the education he attained and the interests he's hired to protect. "

The same could be said for the corporate lawyers.

You want a moratoriam? Fine. But don't compain when the price of gas goes up. Oh, and don't be whining when to satisfy the demand of the American consumer, we then buy more oil from the Saudi's and other foreign interests instead of from companies that employ American workers.

Mr. Schultz, the Democrats control the White House and both houses of Congress. Your party claimed that it was given a clear mandate when Obama won a decisive electoral victory. It was stated that Americans were demanding the leadership that Obama was promising to deliver.

This President has shown no reservations about abusing Executive Orders and our legislators have shown no reservations about ignoring the Constitution. So what's stopping them for enacting genuine solutions to our problems? We've seen massive bills passed that violated every precept of responsible ethics and public support. So, it's not like the law is getting in their way, or the desires of the people.

Is it possible that our elected officials have concluded it would be counterproductive for them to return a sense of normalcy the country?

We've seen a familiar pattern emerge this century. A crisis occurs...the nation is in peril...government expands it role...the rich and powerful become even more rich and powerful.

A few short years ago, the Republican Party was in exactly the same position that the Democrats are now. They learned to exploit this strategy very well. Millions of concerned voters decided it was time for a change. Yet, the same strategy continues to be employed.

In spite of all the hyperbole about doing the will of the American people, the corruption that you're railing about occurs under both parties and both parties simply blame the other.

Why haven't the wars ended? Why won't the Federal Reserve be subjected to a legitimate audit? Where is the transparency and accountability that was promised? Both parties had the chance. Both have made excuses.

The previous administration misled us. It lied to us. It stole from us. And it wreaked havoc upon people throughout this nation and the rest of the world. So what are we getting now?

The Democrats spent multitudes of our tax dollars hyping its hope and change snake oil, and yet it has not only continued the failed economic, foreign and social policies of the Bush administration, it is now threatening to exacerbate them with even broader and more powerful authoritarian control.

Mr. Schultz, we're tired of political gamesmanship. You and your fellow influence peddlers are simply becoming background noise.

Hey Bill,

Corporate lawyers should make the fees THEY deserve for the education THEY attained and the interests THEY 'RE hired to protect! That's the basis of capitalism and the free enterprise system, which flourishes best in a Democratic society. In a republic, the people can be made to "BUY GAS THAT IS "FROM THE SAUDI'S AND OTHER FOREIGN INTERESTS INSTEAD OF FROM COMPANIES THAT EMPLOY AMERICAN WORKERS" because the leaders of the republic mandate that that's the way it should be. Remember being made to nearly completely disrobe at airports because the republican government via TSA mandated that that's the way it should be!?!?! In a free and Democratic society, the people have choices and enterprises bring the options.

YES, I WANT A MORATORIUM ON DEEP WATER DRILLING!!!!!!!! long enough to find out the reasons behind the Gulf oil spill disaster and to fix it so it won't recur (from BP or any other company doing deepwater drilling off the shores of America) just as I would complain as I sit in traffic on I-80, 280, 580, 880 or 980 if there was a huge highway disaster and no off ramp or other means of reaching my destination! And yes, Bill, I would be pissed off, but I would still want the problem to be fixed.

GIVE ME THE MORATORIUM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our legislators have not ignored the Constitution.

Want to talk about abusing executive orders? Realize this: Bush issued an executive order that spouses of military and veterans be given veteran's preference for government jobs regardless of them having the capability to do the job! If it's not rescinded, our government will be screwed up forever!

Once the Democrats took over, the strategy changed. The focus became Main Street instead of Wall Street. The bailouts were made to avoid a depression which the republican'ts almost got the country into. The pattern is not familiar unless you go back to the Clinton administration where the focus was again correctly on Main Street.

Yes, Ed's railing about the corruption and the blame game continues, but Ed's railing about the right things, not that the President's lying or that his comments on the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision are "just not true" or apologizing to BP or saying that the financial crisis the country is in is an "ant" or complaining about the number of pages in a particular bill! I voted for and pay taxes for my congressperson (senators and representatives) to go to Washington, stay involved and know what the heck they're voting for in my interest and I don't care if there are a gazillion pages in a damm bill! Dammit!! Read it and vote my interests … or I will in November!!!

Why were the wars ever started? The Fed may be subjected to an audit if republican'ts get the heck out the way and stop obstructing financial reform! I have not seen the same lack of transparency and accountability as was experienced with cheney's 'back room' deals with the oil companies and the Bush administration's constant failures to release information.

Rather than further refute each remaining individual contention, I'll just copy this phrase from our well-informed, brilliant political guru, Ed Schultz -

To say that "You and your fellow influence peddlers are simply becoming background noise" is pure psycho talk!!!!

Buy and read Ed's book, it's your best therapy.
